2010 Wrap-Up

Wow, 2010 was a hell of a year! I got engaged, got a dog, started up a company, lived in Switzerland for the summer, and really advanced a number of my personal and professional goals. A year ago I posted my resolutions for 2010 and periodically I have posted status updates (one week, one month,Continue reading “2010 Wrap-Up”

Happy Birthday, Smart Office Energy Solutions!

Wow. One year ago today we incorporated Smart Office Energy Solutions. As impatient as I am, it is never moving along quite quickly enough for me, but it is still important to look back at all we have already accomplished in a relatively brief time. When we incorporated last December, we had completed tremendous analysisContinue reading “Happy Birthday, Smart Office Energy Solutions!”

Congrats to the Rice Class of 2010!

This weekend was Rice’s 97th Commencement and, despite the terrible weather, it was a blast. Friday night Katie and I took it easy just walking over to Barnaby’s for dinner. While we were dining, though, the deluge started so we stuck around for awhile and made lists of our favorite actors to pass the time.Continue reading “Congrats to the Rice Class of 2010!”

Rice Builder’s Award

Last night I was humbled and honored to receive Rice’s Builder’s Award, an award given annually to recognize young alumni who dedicate themselves to building the Rice community. Although I certainly don’t feel very “young” anymore, it was a wonderful event and I was privileged to participate. There were drinks and dinner and a smallContinue reading “Rice Builder’s Award”
